I have always loved the time of day when the sun is creeping down on the horizon- golden rays kissing everything with such a beautiful, tranquil glow. In photography it's called the 'golden hour'- the hour before the sun sets, and it is the most gorgeous light an artist can desire. There is something so fulfilling about enjoying the sunset with your loved ones... whether it's strolling through the park after dinner, enjoying a glass of wine on the patio- or maybe, if you're lucky, a sweet kiss on a helicopter flight deck?
A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of capturing engagement photos for Brandi and Jeff-- and I was able to capture a romantic moment as the sun was creeping down over Coronado. I love a dramatic silhouette and this has to be one of my favorite photos that I've ever taken (and trust me, there are thousands!) Brandi is a natural beauty and, although she joked about 'not being a model,' I'm pretty sure she's as close as it gets. Right?? Talk about a gorgeous couple! Brandi landed herself a handsome Navy man who just happens to be a helicopter pilot. He was so patient and fun and even took a few hours out of football Sunday to spend some time with his lovely bride-to-be. Congratulations, you two!
