2013. I feel like this past year has come and gone in the blink of an eye. Mix a busy photography business together with a sassy 2 year old and a precious baby boy and somehow the days just disappear. Life seems to fly by much faster after you become a parent, and there's something I find ironic and unfair about that. These little gifts who bring you a newfound fulfillment somehow hit the fast forward button the very moment they're born. There's always something to do, I suppose: peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to make, spills to clean, stories to read, bubble baths to give and, the best part, endless hugs to enjoy... but there are never enough hours in the day to do all we've planned. Life is busy enough which is why this blog has been neglected. The past couple months I've wanted to absorb every little moment with my two babies, especially while my daughter spent her last days as an only child leading up to the birth of my son in November. It's easy to get caught up in work and trying to grow a business, but the growing that is really important is happening every day before my eyes. Despite the sticky floors and piles of laundry that never seem to be tamed, I realize my husband are blessed with an extremely wonderful life. Sometimes we need to hit the pause button and really take it all in, because it's all beautiful, sticky floors and all... I hope you can reflect upon 2013 and smile about all the good you've experienced this past year. I know I have a lot to be thankful for, especially my family and friends, but it is also my clients (many who are now friends) who build me up with every Thank You email, every holiday photo card I open and each friendly referral I receive. Many thanks to you all for a successful and fulfilling 2013. Thank you for letting me share in your special moments, from pregnancy announcements, new babies, graduations, engagements, weddings or just capturing the special occasion of everyday life. I absolutely love what I do. Here's a small peek at some of my favorite moments from the past year that I was honored to capture of you and your beautiful families... Happy New Year!!
